Justin + Amanda | Woman's Club of Portsmouth | Portsmouth, VA | November

The first thing I noticed when meeting Justin and Amanda was how secure and confident they were in each other's love. They were clearly so devoted to each other and that is definitely what I look for in my couples! She knew what she wanted and he knew it was his role to get her what she wanted. They were extremely selfless and they cared so much about their bridal party! They were very close to all of their bridal party members and they chose their guests really based on their closest friends and family. They spent a ton of time during their wedding visiting each and every table and talking to almost every guest there.


My favorite part of their ceremony was listening to their personal vows! It was like listening to a genuine and authentic love story that you can't help but root for. Amanda is a paralegal and Justin is a lawyer, so they had a judge officiate their wedding and when I asked if they would like microphones for their ceremony they ALL replied "Noooo, I project pretty well....I'm use to speaking in front of crowds" Everyone got a good laugh out of it!

During the ceremony it was very important for the groom and his groomsmen to come out to the Star Wars "Imperial Death March" which was such a unique way to show his interests and personality! The bride was also absolutely in love with her song, "Never Stop"- Wedding Version by Safetysuit, which is a beautiful song to walk down the aisle too!


Man, was their reception a fun one! This was near when the Bohemian Rhapsody movie came out and we were suppose to be doing something to honor her parents, who had been married for a long time, and thank them with an anniversary dance to "Still The One" by Orlean. We couldn't find the mom so we broke out in an impromptu singing of Bohemian Rhapsody that was led by their groomsmen! It was hysterical!

He even came to our rehearsal and made the last couple of days leading up to our big day so much easier. DJ West was a hit at our wedding. He kept the party going all night. He interacted with our guest and danced with us. Our guest loved every moment of it! I would most certainly use him again in the future for our events!"




Congratulations to the happy couple! I truly enjoy getting to be apart of your love story! Seeing you both so happy and in love is why I do this job! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
