The first time I spoke with Kayla and Parker on the phone is the first time I could hear the pure excitement and joy in the voices about their wedding. They were easy to talk to and so easy going! They just wanted to get married and for everyone to have a great time. We started planning early for their wedding….flying through the details and music selections…..they were on top of it! As I got to know Kayla and Parker, I got to hear about their love story…and man it is a good one! Parker was in need of an apartment to rent and that happened to be just what Kayla did for a living! She leased an apartment to him and joked that she lived on the same floor so "They're neighbors!" Little did he know, she was actually his next door neighbor! A month later he saw her leave her apartment and knew she was something special. He went to a resident event just to see her and at the end, asked her out to a hockey game. They have been inseparable ever since! Skipping ahead to Kayla saying YES and now to their much awaited wedding day, which I must say was absolutely stunning, I got to watch these two get MARRIED and it was amazing to be a part of their special day!
Kayla told me whenever she heard “Giving it all (to you)” by Haley and Michaels it just made her think of Parker, her helicopter pilot, the man she could not wait to walk down the aisle to!! Parker stood at the altar confidently awaiting his bride after months of deployment NOTHING would stop him from being there to share his vows and to listen to hers!!
For their first dance Kayla and Parker chose, Yours by Russell Dickerson, and it was magical to watch!
