This whole wedding was full of fun, laughter and craziness! One of the best parts of this day was I knew all of the vendors so we were able to work together really well. The bride was a little nervous but she put so much trust into her vendors! Megan did a ton of research and decided she wanted the best possible fit for her wedding. It was important to her that all of her vendors knew each other in some way and that we had worked together in the past in some capacity. Because I knew the venue coordinator well, I was very familiar with the layout at the venue, Kiln Creek Golf Course. Nikki, venue coordinator, and I worked together smoothly and were able to communicate perfectly when a last minute rain shower hit right before the ceremony which caused us to move the ceremony inside. Nikki and I set up the ceremony site together and worked together to get the sound system and the lighting perfect. Megan and Nick knew exactly the type of wedding they wanted to have and we made it happen!
The energy that the bridal party had when they came in was so electric. I was able to get everyone really excited prior to announcing them and they just came in with so much energy. I always enjoy watching the first dance and seeing the love the newlyweds have for one another. Watching the bride dance with her dad and the groom dance with his mom is also a sweet moment I get to be apart of that I really enjoy. One of the roles that I play as your DJ is to make sure the transitions during the evening are on point. Megan wanted to dance with her father and then dance with her two sons, who were so excited to do so. When I got the youngest son ready, I instructed him to tuck in his shirt and straighten his tie and he smiled as he walked on the floor to dance with his mom. Some of the best moments were when the bride danced with her two sons and when we played the shoe game, it was epic. The bridal party came up with some amazing questions during the shoe game!
Through the remainder of the reception I worked with Sharon Elizabeth Photography and Keith Reagan Film and Video to keep the timeline flowing smoothly so they could get all of the important parts of the reception complete, ensure that they got all the pictures and video they wanted, and also have plenty of time to party! Once a timeline is set, it is one of my jobs as your wedding MC to ensure the guests are informed, but also to make sure the other vendors are given a heads up before we do anything, this is very important to ensure success. Understanding the perspectives of the photographer and videographer has helped me to help them get the important pictures that are needed to be taken at the reception. This is something I have spent a lot of time learning and perfecting from other vendors.
